Since obtaining his Trainer’s License in 2019, Patrick Owens Racing has steadily grown in both results and the quality of horses in the stable.

A standout moment came during his second season when Adaay To Remember, purchased for just 6,000gns, broke through with two wins and achieving Black Type on three occasions, including finishing second in the Group 3 Summer Stakes at York. Her official rating of 104 made her a highly sought-after broodmare, selling for 160,000gns at auction.

Another standout performer was Wahaaj, a Gregorian colt who impressed with victories in his first two starts, before finishing second in the prestigious Group 3 Solario Stakes at Sandown Park. He also earned significant prize money at the Goffs Million at The Curragh.

In 2023, Oddyssey emerged as a star, purchased for 10,500gns at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale. He became the stable’s first Royal Ascot runner, finishing a commendable third in the Listed Chesham Stakes. Later, he placed third in the Gr.2 Superlative Stakes, solidifying his place among the elite.

In the same year, Almarin, acquired for just €10,000, claimed victory in The Jockey Club Grassroots Series Mile Final at Nottingham.

In 2024, Leonardo Dax, owned by Valmont, broke his maiden impressively on his second outing at Haydock Park’s Sunday Series Meeting under a fantastic ride from Hector Crouch.

Bulldog Drummond also made his mark in 2024, giving owner Richard Crowe memorable moments, including an impressive win at the Newmarket July Course and a strong performance in the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Sprint at Ascot.

Together with his partner, Amy, a former amateur jockey who worked under the legendary David Nicholson, the team takes a hands-on, family-oriented approach to training, ensuring each horse receives the individual care and attention it needs to reach its full potential.
